Stunning, Fierce & Yellow Vol 2

Curated by Will Hughes, date 15th April - 21th May 2022

This exhibition borrowed it’s title from Alaska Thunderfucks infamous and hilarious advert on Rupauls Drag Race Allstars season 2 for Fashion tape. Taking these words 'Stunning, Fierce & Yellow' as its starting point, building an exhibition layered with materials, culture (low/high) and in some cases just through the artists use of the colour yellow.

Vol.2 is in reference to the film franchise Kill Bill where the lead character is famous for wearing yellow motorcycle leathers while out on her bloody crusade to seek revenge. This second exhibition was transformed by the use of building site lighting and a replication of the space at ‘Gallery North’ through the construction of two MDF columns.

Which became a ghostly rendition of the repeated time and echoed the addition of David Reynolds to the exhibition who had show at The Auxiliary, 'DO CYBORGS DREAM OF ELECTRIC QUEERS?' (2022).
