Sonic Arts Week returns to Middlesbrough and it’s back with a bang! It's all about living life with the sound turned up to the max. Let your ears lead the way… find out more about the festival here.

What will you be doing? Assisting in set up and take down of workshops. Welcoming audiences to workshops. Assisting Sound Artists before, during and after workshops. Helping audiences interact with objects to make sound. Directing audiences to performance spaces across Middlesbrough Town Centre. Promoting the festival programme.

You'll learn about event management, develop great customer service skills, discover new performers and artists and be at the heart of the Festival. You can attend events free of charge when off duty. You'll be helping others have a great time and make the festival a success. You'll gain confidence, learn about different career opportunities, connect with and support your community. And you'll enhance your CV.

Once you have signed up to be part of Tees Valley Festivals Volunteering you will receive training in Customer Service and Health & Safety. There will be opportunities for further training in Inclusivity & Accessibility, Working with Children, Digital Capture, Content Creation and Social Media, and Sound and Technical Production. You can also get involved in some exciting creative community art and music workshops which will be running across the Tees Valley. And you can earn, and take part in, the RSA's wonderful new Badge Nation Award Programme.
