Guidance for Artists: Networks & Growth is our year-round professional development membership programme, led by the one and only, artist Will Hughes AKA Tees Valley Artist of the year, AKA SAWDUST Director! Open to artists working across the UK and Ireland, GANG is all about sharing knowledge, building connections, and helping artists support one another as their practices grow.

As an artist-led organisation, we’ve learnt a lot along the way, often the not so easy way and this programme is our way of passing some of that knowledge on. We want to create a space where artists can connect, test ideas, and develop their practice alongside a supportive community. Members will have access to a range of creative opportunities, including the annual Auxiliary Members Exhibition, Open Studios, and the chance to sell editions, publications and artwork through Auxiliary platforms.

At the heart of GANG is community. Expect regular online meet-ups, quarterly crit sessions with invited curators and artists, and practical development sessions covering everything from pricing work and social media to working with galleries and curators. There’s so much to get stuck into and we are looking forward to welcoming new artists into our ever expanding community.
