Unseen/Seen

Designed by Omkar Khanvilkar

Unseen/Seen is an exhibition by Curator Amirehsan Nouhi challenging perceptions of identity through the photographic and mixed-media works of three exceptional artists: Kuiama Patton (UK), Twinkle (India/UK), and Gary Small (UK).

Opening on 15 May at Unit 1 former B&M, this exhibition offers a raw, intimate look at the selves we hide and those we perform.

Exhibiting Artists:

Kuiama Patton's haunting cyanotypes use the photographic process to map the invisible landscapes of neurodivergence (ADHD), creating ethereal blue prints that pulse with vulnerability and resilience.

Twinkle merges Indian classical aesthetics with contemporary Painting and sustainable mixed-media techniques, her Portraits series breathing life into ancient emotional theories (Rasa) through modern visual language.

Gary Small confronts the viewer with unflinching photographic examinations of psychological shadows, his Inner Demons series exposing the raw edges of personal identity formation.

"In this exhibition, the camera becomes both microscope and mirror," explains curator Amirehsan Nouhi. "These artists use photography not to document reality, but to interrogate it - revealing what typically escapes the frame of everyday perception."
